Shriek Week 2020!

Double double, toil and trouble stay within your social bubble! Drusillas Park in Alfriston have been working hard to make their fangtastic Halloween Shriek Week as covid safe as possible. Their annual spookapalooza kicked off on Saturday 24th October and will run until Sunday 1st November 2020.

Although Shriek Week will be a little different to usual, Drusillas still promises lots of family friendly, spooky fun! The Estate Team gremlins have been busily transforming the Park with all manner of pumpkins, maize, haybales, skeletons, spiders and more!

Deputy Managing Director, Cassie Poland, said: “In line with the latest government guidance and the continuing uncertainty, we have taken the decision to make some changes to the way we will be operating our Halloween Shriek Week this year. It is our responsibility to ensure your visit is as safe as possible and we feel it’s the right decision not to have some of our usual attractions, so we will instead, be going all out on decorations and theming!”

“The Park will look and feel more eerie than ever before with hundreds of pumpkins, hay bales, giant spiders and friendly skeletons to have your photo taken with! We promise there will be plenty family fun to keep your little horrors happy and safe.”

Scuttle along to Drusillas Discovery Centre during Shriek Week for some amazing creepy crawly encounters. Get ready to come face to face with your favourite mini monsters as you encounter all manner of strange insects and slimy molluscs. Experts from the zoo team will be available to answer your questions.

Don’t forget to Dress your little terrors in their finest fancy dress and spend the day haunting Drusillas! The Park is running a competition for the best dressed visitor this Shriek Week! To enter, participants must take a photo in their costume at Drusillas and either email their entry to [email protected] or post it on Instagram tagging in @drusillaspark and using the hashtag #shriekweek. The lucky winner will win a family of 4 ticket to Drusillas next year!

Deputy Managing Director, Cassie Poland, said: “We've also got pumpkins galore! Hundreds of pumpkins will be lining the pathways and stacking themselves up in special displays. They make great photo opportunities and give the Park a fun but haunting atmosphere.”

Due to capacity restrictions all visitors are required to book tickets online in advance or if they wish to visit from 2pm onwards, visitors may pay at the gate on the day. Tickets can be booked by clicking here. Spaces are limited and tickets are selling fast so book now to avoid disappointment.
