Winter Closures
Through the winter months, we will be carrying out a number of essential maintenance and renovation works across the Park, which will mean temporary closure of some attractions and outlets
- We have scheduled these works at a time of year which should cause the least disruption to the majority of our visitors.
- Whilst these works are being carried out, ticket prices have been greatly reduced to reflect the disruption. See prices here
- If you have pre-booked tickets for a date that is affected by these works, and you would rather amend your booking to another time of year, please email us [email protected].
- These works take place every year, and are noted in our membership terms and conditions. Please note allowance for this disruption is already factored into the pricing of Annual Membership.
Maintenance Schedule
To help you plan your visits, please see the full schedule of works for the coming weeks below. The rest of the Park remains open as per our usual seasonal opening times, including rides that are not undergoing checks, the zoo and interactives, Amazon Adventure soft play, Go Bananas! (under 5's play area), Mungo's Adventure Maze and the House of Fun (both the free toddler rides and free arcade).
29th January - 9th February
- CLOSED: Flying Cheetahs & Amazon Skyrise closed for annual inspection
- CLOSED: Hippopotobus remains closed due to a mechanical fault
- CLOSED: Some areas of Go Wild closed, all other play areas remain open
- REDIRECT: Zoo pathway by top penguin viewing platform closed. Our penguins can be viewed from the cave area.
Why is this happening?
Annual Ride Inspections
As well as our daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks, our rides also undergo rigorous annual inspections and scheduled essential maintenance. This is an annual, legislative requirement to keep our rides safe and secure for all our visitors. We hope to operate the Rainforest Carousel and Safari Express Train without much disruption to their normal schedules during this period
Go Wild! Renovation Works
In order to keep our play areas at the highest standard, it's necessary that we refresh and renovate our play equipment regularly. For 2024 we will be updating and improving Go Wild! to maintain excellent health and safety standards and ensure the much loved play area stays in tiptop condition.
Zoo Route Renovations
It's vital that our pathways along the Zoo Route are regularly maintained to ensure they are smooth, safe, and accessible for all. There are a few small areas that we will be updating in early 2024.
Thank you for your patience whilst we carry out these important works to keep Drusillas safe and well maintained for all of our visitors
