To celebrate International Sloth Day, we are raising money for The Sloth Conservation Foundation to help save wild sloths in Costa Rica, by giving away a magical prize!

Sloth Close Encounter Feeding Experience for Two People
Full Day's Entrance to Drusillas Park
Sloth Cuddly Toy

Enter our prize draw for a chance to win exclusive access behind the scenes of the Zoo to spend some magical moments inside our sloth habitat, with the opportunity to hand feed our beautiful sloths. Our winner will also enjoy a full day out at Drusillas Park, and take home an adorable sloth plush toy.

The prize draw opens on 14th October, and runs until 31st October - the end of SlothTober! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like, with 100% of monies raised pledged to The Sloth Conservation Foundation.

The Experience

This truly unforgettable experience will give you the chance to meet our sloth family up close! An amazing one-to-one experience lasting between 30 and 40 minutes which will leave you grinning from ear to ear.

This VIP Experience includes:

Full day admission to Drusillas Park for both participants
Sloth food preparations in our Zoo Kitchen
The chance to feed our sloths
One-on-one time with a Zoo Keeper
The opportunity for some close-up sloth photography
Animal Encounter certificate
Sloth plush toy

As cute and cuddly as sloths may seem, they do not enjoy being touched or handled so our sloth experiences are non-contact, but they love taking snacks from your hands!

The experience is for a maximum of two participants (minimum age is 5 years, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).

The Cause

The Sloth Conservation Foundation (SloCo) based in Costa Rica is dedicated to the protection of sloths living in wild and human-modified habitats through research, education and community-based conservation.

SloCo are currently embarking on a mission to raise $20,000 throughout Sloth-tober, and we would love to raise money to help towards that target.

Here are some of the costs that monies raised will go towards:

$250: Funds one Sloth Crossing canopy bridge, covering rope materials, climbing equipment, insurance, and safety for their chief climber, Dayber.
$100: Plants 10 trees, including everything from seed to planting, post-monitoring, materials, and equipment.
$600: Spays and neuters 10 rescued dogs to help reduce the number of strays and prevent attacks on sloths and other wildlife.
$2,000: Funds one GPS collar for monitoring wild sloths as part of the Urban Sloth Project.

Every donation will make a huge difference to protecting wild sloths from the devastating effects of urbanisation. 100% of monies raised will be donated to The Sloth Conservation Foundation.
