Race to Finish Hello Kitty Secret Garden as Car Ride Installed
Hello Kitty Secret Garden – Europe’s first permanent Hello Kitty attraction – took one step closer to fruition this week as the third and final children’s ride was installed at the award-winning Drusillas Park in East Sussex.
The Hello Kitty Car ride has been designed and created by German manufacturer, Metallbau-Emmeln; the company who built the hugely popular Thomas the Tank Engine for Drusillas in 2007.
Covering 140 metres of track, the car ride incorporates seven themed vehicles seating up to two passengers each. Hello Kitty fans can enjoy a magical tour of the Secret Garden, travelling through two beautifully themed tunnels and passing the Hello Kitty Hopper ride and Hello Kitty Tea Cup ride along the way.
With all three rides now installed it’s a race to the finish to get the rest of Hello Kitty Secret Garden ready for the greatly anticipated opening in May.
Partnering with the UK’s number one girls’ brand represents the Park’s single biggest investment to date and is expected to top £1million.
The new attraction will be themed within an English country garden and will also include Hello Kitty’s house and parlour, where face painting and other activities will take place. There will also be the opportunity to meet Hello Kitty herself on twenty special dates during the year (see the Events page for full details).
