Half Term Events at Drusillas
As schools around the county break up for half term, Drusillas Park in Alfriston, East Sussex is doing nothing by halves. In addition to the usual animal magic, oodles of adventure play and a Thomas & Friends™ train that runs daily, the award-winning zoo is also expecting some very special guests!
Captain Barnacles will be making a splash on Wednesday 20th February. Don’t miss the brave leader of the Octonauts as he dives into the action to embark on a meet and greet mission. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the underwater hero as he appears at intervals throughout the day.
The Fat Controller will also be causing a locomotion on Thursday 21st February when he alights at the Park to take control of the efficient running of the Thomas & Friends™ railway. Make tracks to Tidmouth Hault and enjoy photo opportunities with Sir Topham Hatt himself. Plus visitors can jump aboard the Thomas & Friends™ train and enjoy a magical ride, passing James in the engine shed, Cranky at the Sodor dockyard, as well as Bulgy the Bus and Diesel around the track.
Plus there’s hundreds of fascinating and entertaining creatures at the zoo including some baby bundles of fur and feathers. Amongst the new arrivals is a beautiful black and white colobus monkey born at the end of last year. She has been called Makena by keepers, which means ‘happy one’.
