Flash the Sloth Hits Snooze
Keepers at Drusillas Park are making excuses for Flash the sloth as she slept through her alarm, missing her first day back at school!
A many of us packed lunches and made one final check that the new school shoes fit, Flash, a 2-year-old Linne’s two-toed sloth, hung upside down from a tree dreaming of sweetcorn and green beans!
Section Leader, Gemma Romanis said: “Sloths sleep for around 15-20 hours a day so we knew waking Flash up for her first day back to school was going to be a challenge!”
“Sloth’s spend almost all of their time hanging upside down, so it can be tricky to see if they are awake or not! We’re just hoping she hasn’t forgotten to do her homework!”
